The Transparency Act<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Transparency Act came into force in 2022. The purpose is to promote businesses\u2019 respect for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions in connection with the production of goods and the provision of services. This includes the impact of international guidelines and principles for responsible business, such as the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGP) (PDF).<\/p>

The Act deals with businesses\u2019 transparency regarding their work related to safeguarding fundamental human rights and decent working conditions. Businesses covered by the Act must:<\/p>

Perform due diligence assessments to identify and manage risks of negative impacts on human rights and decent working conditions in their own operations, supply chains and business partners.
Publish a report on the due diligence assessments, including information on actual and potential negative impacts related to the operations, supply chains and business partners, as well as the measures that have been implemented to stop or limit these impacts.
Follow up and respond to requests for information related to how the company works with the theme.
In the spring and summer of 2023, Norsk Autoformidling Group AS conducted a comprehensive and thorough due diligence assessment with regard to the requirements of the Transparency Act. The assessment has also been conducted for all subsidiaries,<\/p>
